The Fairway Home

Fairway Brings Hope Out of Chaos

Imagine being 16 years old and your father gets remarried to a woman who never accepts you, because you’re not her child. She finds every opportunity to criticize you and make you feel worthless. The tension in the house is so strong that you can’t concentrate on school work and your grades start to suffer. You come home one day and learn that your father can no longer deal with the conflict and asks you to leave.

Where will you go?

Transitional Living

The Fairway Home is a co-ed, 8-bed facility offering up to an 18-month transitional living program for youth, ages 16 – 19. The mission of the Fairway Home is to empower youth to build on their successes in order to gain the skills necessary to make healthy life choices and to become independent. We work to accomplish this goal by helping youth to set goals, complete their education, obtain employment, save their earnings, and eventually move on to successful independent living.

While in the home, residents attend life skills classes and receive counseling to help them resolve the issues that brought them to Fairway. All residents are required to participate in an educational program, get a job, and save a portion of their earnings to support their future move out to an independent living situation.

Admission to this program requires an application process. There are no emergency admissions to this program.

For more information, or to make a referral to Fairway, call us at 1-800-654-6319. Our phones are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by our dedicated and qualified staff.

Here’s what some of our residents have said about Fairway:

“This is the first real thing that I’ve done in my life that will help me become a better adult. I want to be here to focus on my goals, to graduate from high school, and someday become a teacher.”
Stephanie, 2005

“I came from having nothing and feeling like nothing to being happy with myself and having a good, normal, and stress-free life. My self-esteem has increased dramatically. I feel like I have a second chance at life.”
Alyssa, 2006

“Without Fairway I would probably be getting into more kinds of things, but here I learn to accept consequences. Because of Fairway I am being taught money management, social skills, and so on. I am learning the things I need to know about how to live on my own.”
Michelle, 2003

“Fairway was the beginning of the rest of my life. I went in search of a shelter and found so much more. To sleep in a real bed was a welcome change, and it had been a long time since I felt good about myself.”
Matt, 2001

“I was a troubled child headed nowhere really fast. I found acceptance and people who did not judge me. I thank Fairway and look back at all the good memories I have of my time there. If Fairway had not been there for me, I would have continued to be that lost and lonely child looking for someone to care. Fairway saved my life.”
Shelley, 2005 (Entered the program at 17, and is now 24)

“I know that I will become something and accomplish my goals. Without Fairway I would have continued to be a troubled girl with no love. My life is so good now, and I know I thank Fairway for believing in me and giving me the second chance I needed.” Danielle, 2005 (Entered the program at 18, and is now 23)
