Minors in Possession (MIP)
The Alcohol Education program is a six (6) hour course, meeting for two sessions, at three hours each. Each person must have pre-registered at one of the MCYS offices listed below, prior to the first day of class:

• Conroe Office – 105 W. Lewis, Conroe
• Magnolia Office – 31355 Friendship Lane , Magnolia
• The Woodlands Office – 1600 Lake Front Circle, Suite 130 , The Woodlands

Registration Requirements:

• MCYS registers for the Minors in Possession of Alcohol class, Monday through Thursday between 8:30 and 4:30 (except on holidays). Registration on Fridays is by appointment only – call for times.
• The ticketed person must complete the registration him or herself. Parents cannot register their child for a class.
• A registrant must be 18 or older to register without a parent. All kids 17 or under must have a parent present to register.
• Registration must be completed in the office. Paperwork may not be taken out of the office.
• A $50 non-refundable fee must be paid at registration, by correct change, in cash or by personal check.
• The name of the referring judge is required to register.
• Either the ticketed person’s driver’s license number or Social Security number is needed.

Class Attendance Requirements

• Check-in for class 15 minutes before posted class time. Late arrivals will not be admitted to the class, and will forfeit their registration fee.
• Classes must be taken in the correct sequence – Session 1 taken prior to Session 2.
• An individual exit interview will be scheduled with each participant to go over test scores and class work. Upon a successful review, the Certificate of Completion will be given. Anyone failing to complete their scheduled exit interview must pay a $20 rescheduling fee, each time they reschedule. There is a $20 replacement fee for a lost Certificate of Completion.
• If you are unable to attend the dates for which you are registered, you must notify us prior to the beginning of the first day of class, or you will forfeit your registration fee and be required to re-register and re-pay to attend a future class. If you call prior to class time, you will be transferred one time only to the next available set of classes. If you are unable to attend the next set of classes, you will be required to re-register and re-pay the class fee.
