Shelter for Youth in Times of Crisis

Turn on your TV on any given day, and you’ll see compelling images of starving and needy children in third world countries. You’ll see children who are deprived of food, clothing, appropriate medical and dental care, education, and basic survival supplies.

Although sometimes less obvious, these same unbearable conditions exist for youth, right here in Montgomery County!

Montgomery County Youth Services Shelter Program provides help and hope for young people and their families, through short term and transitional living arrangements. We help families challenged by the demands of everyday life to cope with family conflict by offering a safe, secure place for young people to call “home.”

Montgomery County Youth Services provides two types of shelter services:

  • BridgeWay Youth Shelter – Co-ed, short term shelter program for youth ages 10 – 17, who are in need of a temporary place to stay that is safe, secure, and provides immediate support. Length of stay can not exceed 90 days.
  • The Fairway Home – Co-ed, 8-bed facility offering up to an 18-month transitional living program for youth, ages 16 – 19. The mission of the Fairway Home is to empower youth to build on their successes to gain skills necessary to make healthy life choices and become independent.

For more information about our Shelter Services, or to make a referral, please call us:

  • Fairway Home – (800) 654-6319

Our phones are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by our dedicated and qualified staff.

Any help in fulfilling our current Shelter Needs would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
